The Jon Francis Race to Lake Alturas is a 5k race organized in memory of Jon Francis, a counselor at Luther Heights Bible Camp, who died while hiking on Grand Mogul in 2006. Money raised from the race will be donated to Luther Heights Bible Camp and the Jon Francis Foundation.

Over the past few years organizers and participants have helped make this event possible.  Each year the race has raised money, which has been given back to Luther Heigths making it possible for those less fortunate to attend camp.

The hope is to continue this race on into the future.
