Alumni Family & Friends Retreat

Calling all Luther Heights staff and Alumni! It’s time to come back to Luther Heights to enjoy the mountains and community with your family.

WOMEN’S WEEKEND

Enjoy an opportunity to gather with women for Bible study, Worship, Prayer, connection, and relaxation in the Sawtooth Mountains. Let this weekend be your opportunity to explore the Sawtooth Mountains with other women, disconnect from the stresses of daily life, reconnect with yourself and old friends, all while connecting with new friends, the beauty of creation, and your guiding center. This year we will not have guided hikes but we will happily be a base camp if you’re wanting to adventure with a friend!

Faith discussions will be led by Pastor Mary Lindberg. Pastor Mary Lindberg has worked for the church in many different ways since she went to seminary. She's served as a parish pastor, chaplain, and spiritual director. Mary worked for the ELCA as an editor, and has written books and curriculum for kids and adults. She and her husband live in Seattle, where they raised two daughters. Among their hobbies are riding a tandem bicycle. Mary loves leading women's retreats, because there's so much energy and wisdom in the room! She's very excited to come to Luther Heights and brings God's word to life with all of you.

FLY-FISHING RETREAT

Ages 10 and up; All Skills Levels Welcome

Come explore some of Idaho’s best waters in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains. Whether you’re an experienced angler or an adventurous novice, this is the perfect opportunity to test your skills and fish with friends. The weekend will include casting lessons, a fly-tying workshop, and time on the water. Relax after a full day of fishing with evening worship around the campfire. Luther Heights can supply all the equipment needed, however please email to make your equipment reservations. A fishing license, one-day or season, is required.

CAMP TINY FEET

Family Camping Weekend in the Sawtooth Mountains!

Camp Tiny Feet is designed for families of littles that want to get up to the mountains without having the hassle of reserving a campspot or finding a cabin! Although Luther Heights puts on many faith based programs, this is one that will not have faith programming. Tackle a big hike with littles on your back or rest and swim at the lake! We take care of your meals and lodging, and leave the memory making to you! We will offer a variety of activities, from crafts and canoeing to board games, basketball, gaga ball, 9 square in the air, low ropes team building, and much more!

Cost: Adults and kids 6 & up : $150
Kids 5 & under : FREE!

MUSIC ON THE MOUNT

Introducing the first of many ‘Music on the Mount’ retreats co-hosted with Campfire Music Collective! Musicians of all kinds are invited to come, create, and collaborate with other musicians! Days will begin with an exercise to get the inspirational gears turning, followed by free time in a multitude of spaces to make music! An optional showcase of the pieces that were made during the weekend will take place on Saturday night after dinner! All meals, room + board included! Come solo, or invite your friends and band members to join!

Faith Leaders Retreat: Championing Youth Mental Health

We invite Pastors, Youth Leaders, Council members,Church Volunteers or Community Faith Leaders to join us for a special retreat focused on one of the most urgent challenges facing our communities today: youth mental health. This retreat is designed to provide a space for rest and renewal, while also equipping you with practical tools and spiritual insight to better support the young people in your care. We’ll explore how to create a place of hope and healing, where mental health is not a feared topic but a part of holistic discipleship and care. Participants will receive a Youth Mental Health First Aid Training Certification.

Cost: $150 if doing the entire retreat or $75 if participating online

RENT-A-CABIN

Looking for a quick getaway or making summer plans? Select cabins are available for rental July 25th through the end of September. Reservations must be made two weeks in advance by someone 18+.

Cost: Two night stay minimum:
Cost including food: $200 for cabin, + $75/each additional person;
Cost not including food: $150 for a cabin+ $30/each additional person.
5 years old and under are free. Cabins can sleep up to 12 (6 bottom bunks).

All Ages and Skill Levels Welcome

Please register online for these weekends for proper accommodations and to sign waiver. For every night you stay and serve, your household receives $50 towards the Luther Heights programming of your choice.

Service Weekends are free for volunteers to experience camp and put their faith into servant action. Help us open up or close down the cabins and ensure program space is properly taken care of. Daily devotion time as a community is programmed around service opportunities.
